Cadabam'S started a residential care centre in Nov. 1992, in memory of late Amitha M. Cadabam, a mentally retarded child who died Untimely at an early age of 23 years.
"Amitha" Campus- has been the oldest campus and has been functioning from the past 16 years with a capacity for around 260 members and presently functioning with around 250 members aged 18 years onwards.
It has different types of accommodation and besides the therapeutic program the facilities include computers to work on, gymnasium, table tennis and other indoor and outdoor games. The facility provides long term and short term care for the referred cases. Being an model institute of excellence in rehabilitation nearly 65% (around 445) of the persons admitted are getting discharged after rehabilitation & reintegrated into the society.
Cadabam'S provides a "Home away from Home" for the mentally disabled. In a sprawling 18 acres of land, away from dust and din of the metropolis, amidst lush greenery, providing a very healthy, clean unpolluted peaceful atmosphere bringing solace to the mind and body, alike. |
